Our new Spa Road space opened on 8th August 2024. We serve a large, ever-changing selection of all our freshest beers; along with wine, cider, gin & soft drinks.

Our kitchen residency with Yagi Izakaya, serving Japanese inspired comfort food such as Gyoza, udon and karaage has been extended the end of 2025.

WEDNESDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER - STIGBERGETS TAP TAKEOVER AND N.E.I.P.A LAUNCH

Our first ever Tap Takeover at our new taproom! To celebrate our second collaboration of the year with Stigbergets of Gothenburg, we will be pouring six of their beers, including the first release of a New England IPA brewed with us, and a Victorian Porter brewed in Sweden. Our brewer Jess made the trip earlier this year to recreate this recipe from 1871 using English malt and hops, with the addition of Stigbergets’ house yeast blend. A classic of the style.

THURSDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER – THE KERNEL BREWERY’S SWEET SIXTEENTH ALUMNI TAP TAKEOVER

The Kernel is turning sixteen! We can now get our national insurance number, join the army, and drive a moped. For this milestone, we’re championing The Kernel’s influence on the craft beer industry, with beers from our former employees who have since moved to other breweries or started their own. Expect brews from Ideal Day, Newbarns, and Burning Sky, as well as two new beers from us: a single-hop Earnest Pale Ale, and an 1812 recipe Brown Stout, already being described as “the brownest beer Kernel have ever made”.
